adhd - ADHD treatment is a systems, multi-faceted process for the whole family

Since my books present a new theory of what ADHD is and how to treat it, it is important to read ADHD: Drug-free and Doin' Fine or ADHD: A Path to Success  before you fill out this application. If you have not read my book, you have no idea what type of treatment you are applying for or if you would be interested in it if you are accepted.

Also, I will invest a lot of time reviewing your application. Please do not take my time if you have not first read one of my books. They are available from the shopping cart on this website.

Filling out this application will NOT result in advice about your child. It is only useful to determine whether your family is appropriate for my treatment program

To make treatment more convenient, I often work weekends. You may see the description of a typical 3 day treatment program in the "An example of 3 day ADHD treatment"  article.

I am usually booked about two or more months in advance. Since many of my patients come from across the country and around the world, I can make recommendations for accommodations, restaurants, recreational activities in the area, driving directions etc. We will assist you in any way we can to make you visit to Spokane as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Why rigorous patient Screening

One reason I have a very high success rate is that I only accept families I am very confident I can help. There are some very specific things that help me make that determination. To gather the information need, I have developed a detailed Treatment Application. After reading one of my books, filling out this application is the next step in my being able to help you. If you just send me an email describing your situation, I will just ask you to fill out this Treatment Application. This is more time and work for both of us.

Costs

Since treatment is individualized to the needs of each family, I cannot give you a cost for treatment or tell you whether your child is suitable for treatment until I have a completed Treatment Application. After I review your treatment application I will give you an exact cost. So, please complete this application before your inquire about costs.

*** Smoking ***

Unfortunately, if any family members smoke, treatment is likely to be ineffective. This does not just include smoking in the child's presence. It means smoking any time, any where. I don't fully understand why smoking predicts such a poor outcome. However, in reviewing patients that have been unsuccessful, almost all of them smoked. And, I do not accept patients for treatment that I am not confident that I can help.

Thus, I do not accept smokers. Smokers should not fill out the treatment application.

I know this may be frustrating to you if you smoke, and I am sorry. However, it would be unethical for me to take your time and money if I had reason to believe that my efforts would not be helpful.

Email spam filters are getting so aggressive recently, because of the greatly increased amount and sophistication of spam, that some of my responses to treatment applications are being filtered out as spam. P.S. You should only fill out this application if you are considering coming to Spokane for treatment. As much as I would like to, I have no way of helping you without coming to Spokane. There are no other treatment centers in the world that offer caer treatment.
